Luca Balsa's Last Will and Testament
[ There's a couple of notebooks left on Luca's desk. They've been of much help to him in life as they may be to you.
One of them is a reference for personal information, like how long he's been here or what he managed to remember about himself. Another is full of investigation notes from previous cases and torn out pages. Yet another is full of observations about IOU and serious questions about their predicament.
And this one? This black notebook that almost looks brand new? All it has are post-mortem letters, just in case. ]

Preface
If you are reading this, then I've either misplaced this notebook or I'm dead. If it's the former case, then please return this to room A2 as soon as possible.
If this is the latter case... I'm sorry. I've been doing my best to stay alive long enough to help my fellow survivors escape. I don't think our captors will ever find a good motive for me to kill, so I suppose what did me in was either an accident or a murder. No doubt I'd overlook something that would get me killed, as careful as I've been. Things just slip my mind at the worst possible times.
But that brings to mind something more frightening than death. If the experiment does somehow reset completely, at least you all will have some sort of past to identify yourselves with. Me? I'll just forget everything again. All the people I've learned to trust, all my personal developments... Everything. I don't want to lose it all again.
It's all out of my hands now, so the rest falls onto you. Please, if you can find any meaningful clue to our escape, follow it. Do whatever it takes, even if it means confronting our captors directly or taking on the thing in the pit. We can't let the cycle repeat again.
I'm trusting you to seek a way out.
Sincerely, Luca Balsa
P.S. I just remembered an unfinished machine I found in the physics lab. The blueprints were in the same condition as those character sheets, but I think I managed to work out that it was originally meant to be some sort of energy siphon? I hope there's someone among you that is capable of working with machinery, otherwise my discovery here will be completely useless.
Surolam
Please forgive me. I must have done something incredibly reckless and left you alone. It pains me to think I'd have to write this in case the worst happens, but death is beginning to feel inevitable.
There's so much I still have to tell you. I might have already told you some of these things, but I don't recall. You've always been so patient with me, so resilient, so brave... I would have followed you home if I could. Better to have a new life with you and Yuri than to sift through the ruined fragments of my old one.
I don't want to die. I don't want to forget you. Please, at least for the sake of Yuri and I, keep fighting for the chance of freedom. That's all I want.
Love, Luca.
P.S. You're free to distribute my belongings as you see fit. Just make sure everyone has access to the discoveries journal. The information gathered in there will be more useful to everyone than my personal notes.
Koutarou
I know you're going to lose sleep over this mess, but try to get some rest. You're going to need it for whatever comes next.
I know you can make it out of here. You're an intelligent young woman with more experience modern computers than I do. I bet that will be incredibly useful when the time comes. All I can ask of you is to stay strong and continue to support everyone.
Best regards, Luca
Tamaki
You have experience dealing with insane odds as a hero in training, right? I suppose it might be time to put those skills to the test. I think you said something about being positive? I could have misremembered, but try to keep that in mind moving forward. I know you can pull through, with or without your powers.

Niles
You must have been a good friend to Yuri, and no doubt you're doing your best for everyone. I wish we got to know each other a little better. I wish you luck with whatever crazy scheme you plan on using to take down our captors.

I can only assume you're familiar with crimes involving murder. I don't think any of us are in any position to make sense of that, but you've been very helpful in trials so far. I suggest continuing to use your expertise to assist in your escape.
Signed, Luca Balsa

You've done a good job of keeping everyone organized as of late. Keep it up- We can all use your leadership skills right now.

I understand what it is to lose a loved one in this situation, and I feel terrible thinking of how Surolam must be feeling about my death. While I regret not speaking to you more often, can I ask that you watch over my lover while I'm gone? She's a strong woman, but I'm sure she'll appreciate the company as she's grieving.
